*If a payment date falls on a non-business day, the date is extended to the next business day. Note: If you have not received your tax notice by the middle of February each year, please contact our office.
Property tax payments
Payments may be made in several ways, online via a secure online portal, by mail, in person, or by phone. Property tax payment details. Payment may be made by cash, check, wire transfer, debit card or credit card.
Payments that are received after the due date will be accepted, provided the payment is postmarked by the date it was due.

Property tax payments
Owners may pay property taxes online through the Garfield County Treasurer’s Office database. Search for your property record and click on the payment amount to pay through our secure online portal.
This database works best in Chrome or Firefox browsers. If you view it in Internet Explorer or Safari, you may need to enable browser cookies, allow javascript, and possibly change other browser settings on your computer.
Delinquent payments
Delinquent taxes will be accepted in the normal manner subject to the following exceptions: after September 1, taxes must be paid with cash, certified funds or money order unless prior arrangements are made with the Garfield County Treasurer’s Office. Note – If the property is subject to a prior tax lien sale, the certificate holder may pay the delinquent taxes and add the delinquent amount to the tax sale certificate.
